Re: Digital slotless magnetic system (DSMS)

I gave some thought to a tiny wheel on the steering arm to set the magnet clearance and prevent the the magnet scrubbing the track but I never built one. Maybe just recessing the magnet is just as good. I like the ball bearing.

Re: Digital slotless magnetic system (DSMS)

Max I came to the conclusion when I tried to make the current system to work that it could use more margin. The range of adjustment between success and failure was just too small. I know many people have it working, I've seen the video. Wes, Kim, and Ned have all build cars that work fine. I had the...

Re: Digital slotless magnetic system (DSMS)

Welcome to the forum, Max. I think you have a good idea for improving Magracing. I never had much luck getting the magnet following the track and the servo to play well together when I tinkered with building a car several years ago. And since I don't really have room for a track I went on to other t...

Re: turboracing tx/rx

Thanks for measuring the receiver, Kim. That's the same size as the Fly Sky. Should be good to go in 1/32nd chassis.

That minimum voltage is high enough that unprotected batteries can be used without concern,

Re: turboracing tx/rx

Those look perfect for magracing. The price sure is right. How big is the receiver? I couldn't tell on the Aliexpress site.

Kim

The link you provided is for a different ESC than you have. I did find one that looks like yours for a lot more money.

Re: 1:32 CH01-23 first tests

Kim, You Probably know that you can use a short piece of wire, about 30mm, for the antenna instead of the long coax the receiver came with.

Your car designs have evolved into a very professional package. Good work! Looking forward to a video.

Re: Testing ESC - needed.

Kim, Turbo? If you have room for another servo you can wire it in parallel with the motor. At full throttle the servo could close contacts that bypass the ESC. both sides of the battery need to connect directly to the motor through separate contacts. Probably hard to find space in 1/32 but OK in 1/2...

Re: Is anybody out there?

I'm sorry, Wes, that your effort to promote your invention hasn't worked out. Here in the US no one builds stuff themselves so without ready to snap together track .... Perhaps it all requires too much commitment for most people everywhere. I built narrow gauge trains in HO scale most of my adult li...
