Re: Controller for lefties - wrong way around...
Seems to me that it would be a lot easier to just spend 10 minuits learning to work the throttle with your left hand than it would be to spend a day modifying the transmitter. When I drive my full size car here in England, I steer with my right hand and change gear with my left. When I drive a hire ...

Re: A question for Wes
Hi All, Re. wire thickness, .032" would be fine. Our Linford 1 track has in fact .036" (20swg) wire. Thicker wire gives more grip for the steering magnet but cars are then more likely to spin whereas with .028" wire we feel there is a better balance between oversteer (spinning) and un...

Re: correct gap between magnet and wire
Keld, The gap between the magnet and the wire depends on how good your track is! You adjust the magnet down until it touches the highest point on the wire and then raise it slightly. It is better if the wire is slightly higher than the track surface. The card we supply is slightly thinner than the w...

Re: NW California Track
Re. Lane change plates, perhaps I should explain again. The plates have to be the same width as the 2 outgoing wires (which we suggest should be a 2mm gap plus 2 wires which equals approx. 4mm) so that, when the steering is turned, the magnet follows the edge of the plate to the alternative route or...

Re: Track Design Rethinking
I see no point in a racing line all round the track. The point of having steerable cars is to steer them! Each turn needs a racing line and each straight needs a lane change, if necessary, to enable cars to move to the outside lane ready for the turn. Driving Magracing cars should be a succession of...

Hi Guys, Pleased to see that you all seem to be enjoying yourselves. Re. track building, the dremel type saw certainly looks good. Surprisingly, for a professional model maker, I never had a Dremel. Of course, the systems shown in our website are recommended because they don't need the purchase of a...

Clockwise and anticlockwise racing
Luff has raised the question of racing in both directions and this prompted me to get in a few laps on both our circuits, in the wrong direction, to see if it is feasible. I think the answer is yes, but there are constraints. The circuit would have to be carefully designed for this to be possible an...

The Racing Line
Hi all, We have 3 new videos which I tried to link before the holiday but without success. However I see that Keld has found 2 of them. I see you are all busy track designing but I havn't noticed much about racing lines so I felt the need to make the videos and explain more on this. Having a racing ...

Re: racefun test track 1 dec. 19. 2012
Great effort lads, pleased to see you are building a test track first. There is much to learn and we are pioneering here! But it's all good fun! You could perhaps make the lane changes longer so they can be taken faster. We would normally spread one over at least 60cm. Now you have to try the racing...

Re: Laying the Track Wire
Further to my comments, I think the problem with routing is routing the
flat area for the lane change plate. This also must be exactly level with
the bottom surface of the wire and must be perfectly flat.
