Wes, have you checked to see if the chip transmits it's signal? I am sure it does. Going to have to start playing with the chips that I have.

Picking up a can of this spray sealer that is waterproof. The stuff you see in that commercial where they use a screen door and spray this stuff and put it in the bottom of a boat. And it floats.

worth a shot. Supposed to be raining all week so maybe we'll get some results.

Hello. did a little research and it looks like magnetic stainless steel does exist. The 400 series, which contains steel and chromium, but without the presence of nickel, does in fact exhibit magnetic qualities. Any stainless steel that contains nickel will not be magnetic. Sounds great. Can't wait to see it. Have you played with a low grade stainless steel wire? Has magnetic properties but doesn't rust.

My outdoorish track will be embedded in the floor of a completely covered porch in a very wooded area.

Sounds interesting.
I have decided to do a track on ( or in ) my back porch. It is in closed so could be used year round. No module. But is outdoors. Well kinda. Will be starting next month.
