Re: 'Routing the Keld method' (Dremel saw)

Thanks Mike. I might have pushed the saw a little hard also shortening the blade life even more.

Re: 'Routing the Keld method' (Dremel saw)

Any one wear out a blade yet? Got about 30' to 40' and it is starting to cut slow.

Re: seam roller

Thanks for the tip jgraham. Got back to working on the track that i started over a year ago and was having trouble getting the wire to stay in the slot. Seam roller did the trick.

Re: NASCAR

Thank you for the update Wes. I'm not so good at math but that maybe works out to about 125MPH. Yes a scale half mile would be rather large at around 82.5' (25.146M) per lap. As far as the comment on the motors, the top end speed is realistic I was just hoping for a little more bottom end to enable ...

Re: NASCAR

Hi Wes, Do you have an approximate release date on these in mind? Might be enough to spur me on to finish the oval I started last year. Wish the cars could produce a little more torque though. With the current motor on a big oval it they might emulate restricter plate racing accurately. That would b...

Re: Modular tracks

Opps. Was in a bit of a hurry earlier, the foot print will be 8' (2.43M) X12' (3.65M). The straights will only be 4' (1.22M) but because it is sectional like plastic track hopefully longer straights can be added. The picture above has 2 - 45deg. sections joined together. The outside of the turn has ...

Re: Modular tracks

giving that idea a try Lasp. This track will be a oval. It's 20" wide (was thing in terms of 1;24). 1/4" MDF 1"X2" pine for the connectors. http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p299/TSMRA/MAGracing/Oval/004-1.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p299/TSMRA/MAGracing/Oval/005-1-1....

Re: MAGRACING ... Here to stay!

If any of you did not already have a bunch of money invested in cars and/or tracks, why would you start with slot cars today? Yes I would choose slot cars. 1. They have an established history, distribution network and a hole bunch of Forums dedicated to the activity and modification of slot cars. 2...

Re: Classes

Hi Oldgoat, Might you share what you put on that card? Right now I am the only one in the area that has these cars that I know of. Sounds like it would be a good thing to have handy. Currently working on an oval and might see about setting up at the local spring flee market/ model swap meet. Brion.
