Classes

Has anyone considered altering the cars to produce the performance of a slower class of cars? It would seem that with the possibility of 16 cars on track at once the structure of a realistic grid of a multi-class race could be replicated. Maybe like, better tires for P1 cars down to stock out of the...

Re: My Big MagTrack

That is fantastic OSR. It is very encouraging to see so many cars on the track at one time. :klap What I find even more exiting is TF1250's comment of lap times falling in each consecutive heat. Sounds like people seriously learning racing. Looks like you all had a good time.

Re: non slotters trying magracing

I also like the idea of MAGracing. It is a chance to start new with out the status quo of slot cars. The basic principals of: 1. Realistic scale speed 2. Racing line / lane changes 3. narrower realistic width track surface 4. 16 cars at one time But as far as hotter motors go, they will be needed to...

Motor ?

I wonder if the armature could be rewound to get a little more power out of it for 1:24 and or heaver more detailed car use? Probably just be easier to find a slightly more powerful motor in the voltage range though. Just a thought.

Re: Lasp give a finger at the track!

If the cars do get to much grip you could just dirty up the track a bit. That technique could also be used to slow down unwanted short cuts or unrealistic race lines. Got to race on a rally track that the owner put old coco powder down on it. It was a blast to drive, rooster tails in the corners, di...

Wonder if that is the same principal as an electric tooth brush?

That is a neat little track. Did you use foam for the ramps?

Re: Batteries and charger arrived today

I made this to organize my batteries...batteries that need charging go in the red holes... http://oldslotracer.com/DSCN1049.JPG MAN, you are organized there OSR. That is neat. Might be a little tough to fit in the slot car hauler though if this all catches on in your area and more tracks pop up. By...

Re: Mig welding wire

I could only put up tree pictures, more will come. But I am thinking of a bit thicker wire out at the end of the track, just to collect the cars that slip of, and maybe take some more power of by sätting the wire double at some please ;-) Could it be done? I was thinking about the same thing. Very ...

Re: Batteries and charger arrived today

Thank you Oldslotracer.
If that is the case it looks like 1 came fully charged and the other 3 just needed to be topped off.
Just realized the charger is an Ultrafire and the batteries are Trustfire.
