Re: Suggestions Sought for New Chassis Design
To Ned regarding "front end shimmy". You could try adding some weight. All my cars weigh at least 3.5 ounces. More weight in the front makes the car more responsive to lane changes. Ken.

Re: Suggestions Sought for New Chassis Design
Yes , the chassis WB being adjustable is most desirable. Also rotate the battery box 90 degrees so narrow bodies can be used. good job. Ken.

Re: Magnetic force measuring.
Hi Fellas, In regards to the optimum pickup shoe height. My oval raceway uses standard magracing wire layed in a grooved plywood surface. After alot of testing and trial and error I found the range is .011 to .020 inch from the bottom of the shoe to the top of the track with the wire right underneat...

Re: Light Weight, Large, Portable, Sectional, Track
to Ned; Yes , I built a scale 1/4 mile oval track based on a local motordrome. 4 modular sections, each having 1/2 of a turn and 1/2 a straightaway. I used 1/4 " sanded plywood for the racing surface, supported underneath by 3/4" particle board wedges set on edge. These wedges are used all...

Dear Rex, I have to confess that I had no idea what the side magnets were for. I also have experienced "high speed shimmy". Soon as weather permits , will try what you suggested. Ken

Good show Wes. I'll be ordering 10 rolling chassis and 9 pistols as soon as they are available. Have been busy building up stock bodies . Also doing some experimenting with 1/24 th scale. Motor sound is also on the agenda. Ken

Re: New in Notts
Hello Trevor, Welcome aboard. Glad to hear of your enthusiasm about "Mag Racing". The sport needs people with experience. It is a great concept that in my opinion, beats traditional slot cars in realistic racing action. So realistic in fact, that one unforeseen stumbling block is the appar...

Re: Magracing - where now?
Ned, Thanks for all the battery info! The 10440 in 3.0v is attractive because of the desire to keep the speeds down for more realistic racing. Will give them a try. Ken

Re: Magracing - where now?
Wes, The new adjustable chassis looks simple and uncluttered. I like it. As for the batteries, I am more than satisfied with the power and endurance of the 10440 . The only problem was with one of the protected cell's circuitry had been damaged by use. I simply removed the protection device from the...

Re: Magracing - where now?
To Wes...Good show trying out the new hardware. The buggies performance being close to a genuine mag racer is a good thing. Don't get discouraged. I believe this will take off like a rocket. I really do need 10 more chassis and pistols. That way I'll have the full 16 channels plus 2 spares. Need to ...
