MR-ch01-chassis 75mm fully assembled.
This is what it may look with Receiver & esc + IR-RacID module. Neat little package. This is a version of the front printed in on part with slide/snap in servo. So you only need self tapping screws from the bottom. A full running video will be available in the new year. MR-ch01-chassis.jpg front...

Re: Reuse SCX/Scaletrix classic track as a MagRacing track.
My Jig setup is getting closer. I cut off a few 'board-pegs' to have an easy fixture for the track when routing and not having to screw it down. The pegs just fit the track connector hole. I glued them in place. Now just waiting to get a chuck adapter: 8 to 4 mm as my routing bits are 4 mm not my ro...

The one do it all straight section. 60 CM for routing.
So to use one pattern for all straight sections I have come up with this. Coming in to the piece you can go straight or using the first LC to change lane. Leaving the piece you can go straight or choose the raceline assuming it ends up in a curve with raceline and you are in the outerlane. If you ar...

Re: Routing track with CNC and 0.7 mm bit.
Her are the ultimate ball routing bit 0.7 mm from aliexpress. (Hard to see but it is a ball bit.)
Very short neck, so hopefully these can last. And as I'm now gluing 2mm cork onto MDF board it should even be possible to hand route.

Re: Drawing / routing the RaceLine. The helping arms.
Here it a drawing. Hope the colors shows. Optimal raceline just drawn one way. raceline-elipse.jpg HELP needed : Does anyone know how to get the green elliptical crossing each other in the middle of the 2 normal lanes. As you can see they cross where the 2 Scalextric pieces connect and if I could ge...

Re: Drawing / routing the RaceLine. The helping arms.
Ok, So it is possible not the ideal race-line. But when using track-pieces you get the inn and out parallel to the normal lanes. If you make it on a full size board you would probably use a normal constant radius like the outer lane (minus the 5-10 mm offset) and put the pivot point to start the rac...

Drawing / routing the RaceLine. The helping arms.
Doing it by hand pose some problems. After some thought I checked the internet to see if he agreed with me. And yes we where on the same track. Still missing the router/pen connection but my 3D printed ellipse arms are working. If I might say, quite fascinating to watch. I put on some tape to make i...

Forum accepts new topics again.
Hi all.
For the last week or so you have not been able to create new topics.
This has now been fixed. (Not sure what it was but and update on the system did the trick. )
