MAGracing in Illinois

Post by prime05 »

Finally, finished my track. Setup in the basement using the plaster method. Paint job isn't as good as I would have liked, but this one isn't permenant. Wanted it done by Xmas since the kids are getting their own cars. A joy and a half to drive. I can tell you that.

Nice to see, looking forward to see a video with your kids racing that track.

do you have a drawing or something to show the lines on the track?

Thanks for the comments! I did not have a drawing for the track. Kinda made it up as I went. Sat down and just ran laps last night for a good half hour. Can express enough how enjoyable it is. I love the way the car handles with the tires just as they are. Reminds me of the old T-Jets, except when you spin out you can recover. Only thing I would really change about the track is the lane changes on the front stretch. I didn't have an issue with them during testing, but now if I don't blip the throttle when I hit the lane change, the car loses the wire and goes straight into the wall. Not sure why that happens, but its not a big deal because it is just a small let off. Don't think any time is lost. I'll try to post some video when I can.
