Need good alternative (modular) track material advise

Post by Jeee »

I saw on the board there are lot of people who experimented with different kind of track materials.

What is the best material to use for a thin track (probably modular so it can be stored easily) while still delivering performance and being affordable? (I was thinking of some kind of 3mm plastic but I don't know if that is gives enough grip or maybe has other issues). Anyone with experience on this willing to comment/give some advise?

Hello

As I told you in a separate mail I am using "Forex" an material in 3mm for advertisment signs. I get that free on the backyard from the Drûckeri for comersial.

I just make a 1 mm slot and put in my 0.8 mm wire together with glue. Magracing cars need a lot of space Look at the Markus track in Köln!

But the development of existing MagRacing cars is poor. Too make a good battle you need at least a handfull of cars! :)
