the little shimmy in the video is because of the drift out of the curve. its getting lower ss longer the straight is.

working ,,perfect,, no wobbeling no shimmy at high speed.

Very interesting. I think that eliminating frontend shimmy is the most important thing to do to improve handling and lane changing. I have some questions about your good looking wheels.rex craemer wrote:working ,,perfect,, no wobbeling no shimmy at high speed.
1. What is the diameter and width of the wheel?
2. It appears that you have pressed a piece of brass tubing into the hole of the wheel to serve as a bearing. What is the ID & OD of the tubing and how long is it?
3. Is the screw that you use for the stub axle also used somewhere in a stock magracing chassis, perhaps to attach the bumper?
4. If not, what is the size of the screw you use for the stub axle? Most importantly, what is the diameter and what type of screw is it...a fine thread machine screw or course thread self tapping screw? Is the screw made of regular steel or stainless steel?
5. Are the wheels made from aluminum or plastic?
Thanks for sharing your ideas and knowledge.

Looks nice.
I suppose the bigger scale also means that you prefer a bigger track?

hello all, the wheels are scaleauto parts 13x 26 sanded down to 24, removed the inner cylinder for holding it normaly with a screw. the screw is a 2,5 mm machinescrew. the trick is, the tyres are not running flat, only on the inside. i drilled it so. the normal axle is 3,0 mm like the most 1:24 slotcars, so i installed a tube to reduce it to 2,5mm. its crazy how quiet and straight it runs. magnetic greetings markus
