I have a dream of building all the famous part of the real 1/1 track
Eau Rouge, Spa, Belgium
Karussel, Nürburgring, Germany
Straight from Nürburgring, Germany (with several jumps)
Hairpin, Monaco
Cork Screw, Laguna Seca, USA (incl. Rehal Straight)
and some elements from Targa Florio, Italy (mountain hairpins)
I amlooking forward to build this some day.
I have a dream..............
Re: I have a dream..............
You and me both!
To get an Eau Rouge working would be marvellous.
And the Corkscrew.
And the... The list goes on.
But lack of funds and room make them dreams.
But with MAGracing it just might work.
The only problem would be that such elevations tax the cells far more than straight and level does.
So running time would be a lot shorter.
Saying this so people don't start building and discover that to late.
And hello everyone!

Running time is and will not be any problem, why are so many people think about that as a problem?
In slotcar we only race 3 min. or maybe 5 before we stop race and make lanechange, in longdistance racing we race 12-15 min.
On my test track I race 45 min. without any problem, even if that goes down to 30 this is still much more than necessary, and even with shorter time it would only be correct, then we can use the pit lane, drive in at make a battery change in 5 sec. and drive out on the road again.
and keep in mind that the charging time is shorter than the running time, so you can do 24h race with only 4 batteries pr. car.

Re: I have a dream..............
Sorry if I was unclear.
The electric motor is notorious for it's exponential power draw.
Thus it draws a lot more in rough going than straight and level.
A lot more than is warranted, so to speak.
A seemingly not that steep climb can easily empty the cells.
Perhaps most easily shown if you happen to have one of those small Micro Racers.
Not compared with a MAGracer in any way, mind you.
Only to show what I meant to caution for.
It would be such a sad waste of someone builds a marvelous Eau Rouge and then can't really use out because of the amp drawn.

Great points you made, I was wondering that myself and waiting till spring to begin my track, I will watch the inclines and hills very closely. thanks again for waking this old f--t up, hehe

Many thanks and much appreciated old f .... t!
(I sure didn't know that was the start and end of those words.
My understanding was it would be "s... ...r"!)

Would be awesome to have a warehouse and build all of those sections in perfect 1:32 scale...
Track would be so big, you may need to drive via in-car camera.
The Laguna Cork Screw would be hard to do for Mag Racers, may need to modify the magnet arm in the cars so it drops down like off road slot cars.
