Good advice here re. transitions from flat to banking. Probably 5 degrees is enough.
If the straight has 5 deg., you could go to 10 on the banking. Any more and cars
will be flat out through the turns, no skill needed.

I wish I had seen your post before I started construction. The corners are 48" inner diameter, 72" outer diameter banked at 17*. the Tri-oval is banked at 10* with the back straight at 4*. I may run the cars w/o tape on the rears to loosen them up if they go through the cuves "flat out". I'll attempt to post pics of the track later this week.
