A friend of mine has a small CNC router - but no small bits.
We decided to test with a small drill bit just to see what happened.
Of course it broke, you can see it bending.
Then he used the remains for a new test.
It did work if we did it slow enough. We will do more when I get proper routing bits.

What kind of material are you trying to cut?
The bit would not likely break if you were workling with Polyisocyanurate Foam Board Insulation or Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) Foam Board Insulation. Polyisocyanurate is quite rigid and very light weight. With the appropriate facing material, better than XPS for making a track in my opinion.

Then I got the 0.7mm bit to test. It took some time from aliexpress.com
And yes they brake too. So go slow it the thing.
These are straight bits, I have not found 'ball' bits in 0.7mm size. But I could squeeze the wire right down and it stays in the slot. So it makes it simple.

Re: Routing track with CNC and 0.7 mm bit.
Her are the ultimate ball routing bit 0.7 mm from aliexpress. (Hard to see but it is a ball bit.)
Very short neck, so hopefully these can last. And as I'm now gluing 2mm cork onto MDF board it should even be possible to hand route.
