Re: what to use for a lap counting system
Hi,
I made a two lane setup for Luf. I wasn't expecting requirements for more but I can do it for 4 lanes if you wish, that would add $80 in cost.
I include the USB to serial so USB is no problem

I was thinking that if you wanted to do a multi lane setup or maybe a pit lane on the main straight. Hmm, Should you count a lap when you pit?

My dad and I are considering using our Ilaps transponders and picking up the sensor bridge.

Sometimes TS good to ask!
Hi Lasp,
At this moment i prefer to not make Pc Lap Counter compatible with this system because this Magracing is not yet well know, maybe Magracing will grow in the furure and if it's the case then i will do it (if magracing is agree to give the protocol description....)
So I have to fond out!

That seems affordable... I'd like to see some reviews on how it worksLeonabi76 wrote:Has anyone else seen this system? (Link below) It's a new company, apparently, but they're not slot less. My point was to show their lap counting/timing system. It seems to use RFID not unlike what's used in mini RC. There's a 5/10/15 tag setups and they use a sensor bar. Compared to things like core speedway the price is pretty good.

To all,
I have followed this site since last year and even sent email suggestions to how they can improve, like diff. realistic car bodies and other ideas. All in vain cause the site seems to be desserted completely even though their member password generator still works. Guess we have to wait and see if they want to sell anything in the future.

I have the Mag Digital Lap counter. If you want to use transponders instead, you could use the one Lap counter for RC cars that use transponders.

How far is a system?
Can you read the IR lamp from above?
A gate and the lamp in richtung up!
Installed in a bridge that goes across the track.
More easy to take time and position!

Re: what to use for a lap counting system
Just got my Trackmate system from Dan. I order it with 4 sensors so I can have multiple lanes, not sure if I'll need them...
Works very reliably and was easy to install. Thanks Dan!
