1/24 Talbot-LagoMagracer
Re: 1/24 Talbot-LagoMagracer
I like it! Is top speed about the same? How about run-time on a fully charged battery?
Re: 1/24 Talbot-LagoMagracer
Ned, With the gears used I would say that acceleration is a bit down (as it should be!), and top speed at least equal to the 1/32 cars. It certainly dosen't need a bigger motor. Haven't flattened a battery yet but I guess run time would be a bit less.
Plenty of grip from the standard plastic wheels. I'm looking forward to building the Alfa!

1956 BRM
1949 Lago Talbot
1956 Lancia-Ferrari
1956 Maserati 250F
1955 Mercedes W196
1956 Vanwall
1956 Aston Martin DB3S

There should be enough for a full track

My Alfa just arrived today. This was one of the most successful Grand Prix cars ever, with 47 wins in 54 races .

So nice to see goodlooking racers.
By moving the receiverboard on top of the you have 'ruined' use of lapcounting ?
I think you should advice on an alternate laptiming pacement led.
And may be supply a laptiming led 'off' the printboard.
I'm thinking - just cutting the led of the board and the solder on one on a short wire would do it ?
And for secondary placement of timing-led I would think dead center would be the most usefull?
Not many cars can get away without having that as an optional placement.
As for a generic option - how about making room for it(the led) in the steering setup somewhere.
Dead center drawback : You have to cut your wire. Not a big one i think.
Pros : You can do timing both ways - (and get false recording running opposite way around.)

good point =)kiklo wrote:So nice to see goodlooking racers.

what about placing 2 leds behind eachother? then you can determine direction based on which one gets triggered first.kiklo wrote: Pros : You can do timing both ways - (and get false recording running opposite way around.)
Re: 1/24 Talbot-LagoMagracer
Probably not worth the effort. Would require lots of extra programming and HW for a very small problem.Jeee wrote:good point =)kiklo wrote:So nice to see goodlooking racers.

When you have multiple sections it also needs to detect the sections in order and that way knows if one needs to be counted or not.
