If I am making a double crossover on a straight an x do all 4 wires haft to touch in the middle all directions ? No one has said other than we can do it. Also I know what to do at the switch point but on the merging lane can the wire touch it?

John, I usually suggest a small gap in the wires as they cross. Perhaps 6mm (1/4") would
be enough. Run them out to just touch the straight. Just checked the website on this and I
admit it could be clearer.
