mercedes 450slc 5.0, i took chassie from 190e, fortunly the same wheelbase. its a g.f.k. boby from andys modellbau, by the way thank you andy. car is very fast, but frontendschimmy. i think the frontwheels needs better bearings.

its never full speed, because the straights are to short. it can run much faster, but at higher speed i get frontendschimmy.

Re: Just to find out if it works: 1/24 scratch build chassis
hi all, i tested my 1:24 a lot, and i think to run this perfect ,we have to change the wire and the suspension (longer guidearm). its not so much the weight, as i was thinking, its much more the longer wheelbase that makes the problems. there are much more forces on the guidingmagnet. my 300 sel,,monster,,was 17 gramms heavier than the 1:24 lightweight 450 slc. it is a resine boby, and i dont cutted it out from the inside. i made the monster lighter, but it dont gets quicker, because of loosing grip on the rearaxle. and its much more tricky to drive. i will concentrate my activitis in 1:32. there are high detailed bodys, wich look very nice, and its not a big problem to fit the chassie to the most (greater) bodys. also the 1:24 track has to be much wider than a 1:32 it looks like on a little karttrack. it was a try but i will work with 1:32.greetings to all markus
